I started Seed Needs at just 15 to bring my family closer, to retire my father, to employ friends, and most importantly, to help people! Seed Needs originally started as a username for an online marketplace. We discovered Amazon in 2010 and soon after, we established a brand, selling our products to millions of happy customers over the past decade.

Additionally, we offer all the popular heirloom favorites, such as carrots, cabbage, lettuce, radish, tomatoes, kale, beets, and turnips.

Product Description

Seed Needs offers a Beautiful Specialty Blend of Wildflowers that Blooms All Summer Long! This mixture will lure in the bees, butterflies, ladybugs, and other beneficial insects. A perfect mixture for insectaries and butterfly gardens alike. Plus, many of the flowers are popularly used in bouquets and floral arrangements.

This wildflower mixture attracts working bees like bumblebees and honeybees to the garden, as well as butterflies and hummingbirds. Ladybugs are an important insect to almost any garden, especially those with aphids. The average ladybug consumes over 5,000 aphids in its lifetime.

Our wildflower seeds are 99% pure live seed, ensuring quality, freshness, and successful germination every single time. The moisture-resistant packaging keeps the seed fresh for extended periods of time, and each pouch contains 30,000+ fresh seeds. Detailed seed sowing instructions are provided to help you successfully germinate the seeds.

Growing Instructions

This wildflower mixture requires a loose and neutral sowing medium. Avoid mulch, clay, sand, and rocky soils. Begin by misting the seeds and seedlings to prevent the seed from washing away, and water daily. Within 7 to 10 days after sowing, you will see sprouts appear all over the areas you've planted, and flowers will start to bloom within the next few weeks, continuing through the Summer. At the end of the season, you can allow the flower heads to dry and collect the seeds for next year.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, our seeds are heirloom varieties that have been bred for decades. Even the tiniest of seeds in the blend has a potential spread of at least 6 inches wide. At minimum, the mixture can cover 100 square feet, but realistically, you could spread it across 200 to 250 square feet by spreading it sparingly. If you run into any issues, let us know, and we will make it right.

We carry some of the absolute freshest seeds around, protected in moisture-free, airtight packaging. The package contains 99% seed, with only a small twig or two sometimes. Seed Needs will never knowingly supply GMO-based seed products, and the vast majority of our seeds are open-pollinated and heirloom, with the exception of a few hybrids.
