Q: How do I measure a child for golf clubs? A: Age Range is an approximate reference, so we suggest you use height as a more accurate reference to purchase clubs for your kids. Measure the junior with their shoes ON. Every three inches represents a new size. The best option is to choose a club that is approximately 1.5'' longer than an exact fit, which allows the junior to "choke down" during initial play, gradually moving his/her hands higher on the grip as they grow taller.

Q: How many clubs does my junior beginner need? A: For the youngest golfers, a typical combination would consist of a putter, a single lofted iron such as a 5-7 iron, and a wood. These three clubs are enough to start with. A putter and a 7-iron is a great way to get kids to start seeing if they like the game. With those two clubs, they can hit, chip, and putt. Both clubs are also the easiest to hit and will bring early success to a beginner player.
